Aspire Quad Flex Review

i won this in a Facebook Contest i was so thrilled i was excited about this Aspire Quad Flex Survival kit since i can run either RDTA or RDA as most know i always use an RDA as i prefer the flavor so this kit comes with quite a few options as this is a 4 in one kit  RDTA RDA RDA2 and MTL Tank we will run thought all the options and parts that come in this kit below and talk about each option as always ill give my opinion of this kit

using the pre built coils in the package  installing both claptons came out to a 0.3 ohm build running at 45w i found the vape to be so hot  almost impossible to vape so i switched  coils and made my own set of twisted coils 0.3 ohms building on the deck for this is quite easy i found wicking to be really easy also changing from the RDTA to the RDA option was so easy just unscrew from the glass base cut the wicks and attach the RDA Base you have the option of using the frosted or clear glass 20160822_05370820160822_05494720160822_053529on this option as you should know the RDA is the top 20160822_053725half of the RDTA removing the cover revealed the  deck as shown in the image to the right unscrewing the deck of the tank body you will see the holes under that the wick goes through into the tank and the center post that holds the deck in place

using the pre built coils in the package  installing both Clapton coils it came out to a 0.3 ohm build running at 45w to 90w i found the vape to be quite nice even with the airflow completely open it produced great vapor production and great flavor my only issue is the drip tip not having the option to support a taller wide bore as you see there is not much to the RDA option only 5 parts most of which are already assembled from the RDTA option we wouldn’t only have to unscrew from the tank part 20160822_05335720160822_05342220160822_053450of 20160822_05405220160822_054039the RDTA and screw on the RDA base as shown to the left the tip screws out not pulls out the inside of the RDA Sleeve allows you to run single or dual airflow by turning it to open or close one of the airflow slots off this uses the same deck as we talked about for the RDTA 2 post dual hole i found the holes to be on the smaller side limiting your build this does have an adjustable center pin

using the second option for the RDA for top airflow this was not bad very similar to above regular side airflow but i found the airflow to be slightly more restricted my only issue with this option is that the top airflow is so easy to catch and closes on you if you are not paying attention the flavor was more intense on this option compared to the regular side air flow option and vapor production is good but not as good as the 20160822_05435820160822_054438side airflow RDA you do have the option to run a 510 drip tip on this RDA or RDTA 20160822_054602by using the adapter as shown to the left but i found that just made the airflow even tighter i honestly can say i don’t like this option flavor is great but it’s just too restricted for my liking

this is a great option for beginners the mouth to lung hit is perfect  for those still trying to give up the stinky sticks or new to vaping i found it to give quite the throat hit depending on the juice that is used i didn’t have no issues running an 80% VG 20160822_05455820160822_054621you can use either the clear or the frosted glass on this option the coil for this option is a 1.8 ohm recommended running between 12w and 16w

Overall opinion

this is a great  kit i enjoyed vaping on both the RDTA and the RDA option the airflow for me was perfect i didn’t find it to airy at all its really easy to build on  but i feel builds are restricted with the small post holes but if you are a beginner and get this it will make a great step up kit as you advance. filling the RDTA can be a little tricky depending on what you use to fill the tank with you can remove the deck and fill the tank but then you have to fight getting the cotton back in right or fill through one of the holes in the deck with a  needle tip bottle which is how i like to do it but can cause some over flow if you’re not careful in my video i tried to cover all things with this device with out making it too long to watch this is a good kit and priced reasonably good for the amount of options you get
